I posted an article about racism on Australia Day. For the record, I don't actually think it's racist to celebrate Australia Day or that only racist people can celebrate Australia Day, it's just that there are a lot of people who use it as an excuse to be racist under the guise of "patriotism" and that just makes us all look bad.

The other day I started panicking a little because it felt like it had been ages since I updated the website but it turned out it had only been about a week. So anyway, I wrote a new article today and now I feel relieved that I've written another mildly amusing article (poorly written, but no more poorly written than the previous one) and it wasn't just one of those things where I start something and then ignore it for a while and eventually give up.

Oh yeah, I also posted another link to a ridiculous news story the other day, but that didn't seem blog-section-update-worthy.

Well, it's been a while since I did anything with this site (almost two years apparently) but here I've finally updated it. In the almost two years since I stopped being able to consistently put together issues of The Chicken for absolutely no reason, not a whole lot has happened (at least since July 2010) but at least I'm back now.

I've decided to make The Chicken a news website rather than a monthly newspaper website so that I don't have to try to come up with several articles per month and can, instead, just write and upload them individually. So, basically, the quality of what I'm doing should still be of the same poor quality but, hopefully, slightly more consistently and maybe I won't crap out on it this time.
